The White Keys — soul-fusion trio for weddings and live events

Ceremony and drinks reception

Live music for your wedding ceremony

The ceremony is the most emotional part of the day, and the drinks reception is the first moment your guests come together. With live piano and vocals we accompany the entrance, the vows and your exit as a married couple, then welcome guests with acoustic soul and pop, around Lake Garda, Verona and across Northern Italy.

Live piano and vocals at an elegant wedding ceremony in Italy

Your ceremony, moment by moment

Every ceremony has its own structure, and the music is there to give it shape without ever talking over anyone. Before the wedding we agree with you which moments to accompany and with which song, so every cue lands at the right time.

  • Guest arrival: gentle music while everyone takes their seats
  • Entrance: the song everyone is waiting for, opening the ceremony
  • Vows and exchange of rings: silence while you speak, soft music in the pauses
  • Signing: discreet accompaniment for a moment that often runs longer than planned
  • Exit: a bright, joyful song to close the ceremony

Choosing your entrance song

For the entrance, a song with an unhurried tempo and a recognisable opening works best: it should move people from the very first notes and give you time to walk down the aisle without rushing. Instrumental pieces or slow melodies suit the signing, while something more upbeat for the exit carries everyone towards the celebration.

Italian or English, sung or instrumental: the choice changes the mood. An Italian classic such as “Almeno tu nell'universo” by Mia Martini or “E se domani” by Mina, rearranged for piano and vocals, adds a touch of Italy that international guests often remember. We start from your taste and your story, and we're happy to consider special requests that suit our acoustic style.

Why piano and vocals suit a ceremony

During the ceremony we strip the line-up back to live piano and vocals. It's an intimate sound that fills the space without drowning out the words, and it works in small rooms as well as outdoor settings.

Unlike a recorded track, live musicians follow what is actually happening: if the walk takes a few seconds longer, the song stretches; if the moment calls for a pause, the music waits. That's what makes a ceremony feel natural and unhurried.

Drinks reception music

Once the ceremony ends, the mood shifts: guests greet each other, congratulate you and take photos. For the drinks reception we play soul, pop and fusion in an acoustic style, at a volume that leaves plenty of room for conversation.

This is where the music sets the tone for the rest of the day: elegant, relaxed and never intrusive. The move from ceremony to drinks happens without a gap, so guests are never left waiting in silence.

Timings and coordination

A smooth ceremony comes down to details: who gives the cue for the entrance, how long the walk is, where the musicians stand in relation to you and your guests. We agree timings, space and the look of our set-up in advance with your wedding planner, celebrant and venue.

If you're planning from abroad, you can do all of this with us in English by email or WhatsApp. On the day you won't have to think about any of it: every musical cue has been agreed and each moment fits quietly into the programme.

Checking availability

We take on a limited number of weddings each season. Send us your date, venue and whether you'd like music for the ceremony only, the ceremony and drinks reception, or the whole day: we'll reply with a repertoire proposal and a running order for each moment.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about ceremony and drinks reception music

1. Can we book you for the ceremony only?
Yes. You can book us for the ceremony only, the ceremony and drinks reception, or the whole day through to the first dance. We decide together which moments to cover.
2. What line-up plays during the ceremony?
For the ceremony we offer live piano and vocals: an intimate sound that suits the most emotional moments and respects the words of the couple and the celebrant.
3. How do we choose our entrance song?
We start from your taste and what you want the moment to mean. We suggest a few ideas that suit piano and vocals and consider your requests if they fit our acoustic style.
4. Is the drinks reception music too loud for conversation?
No. At the drinks reception we play acoustic soul and pop at a controlled volume, so guests can mingle without raising their voices.
5. Who coordinates the musical cues during the ceremony?
We agree every cue in advance with you, your wedding planner, the celebrant and the venue. On the day we follow the programme and adapt to whatever happens.
